Longden Village Hall: Good News

Roger Evans (Shropshire CC) tells us that it has just been announced that the Longden Village Hall has been given a grant by Shropshire Council of £8,000 to help with repairs.

Great News!

Bingo Night

We are having a fun Bingo night on Friday 12th Nov at the village hall to raise funds for this great Pre-School.

Doors open at 7pm with eyes down 7.30. There will be refreshments and a licensed bar for a well deserved break half-way through the evening and there are many prizes including a raffle and a cash prize for the last game.

Hank and Brad rode in to Town

……. and gave us a show to remember. Longden village hall was packed on Friday night, 22nd October for the `No Hall Too Small Tour’ by Hank Wangford and his compadre Brad Breath. This event, sponsored by `Arts Alive’, had sold out the previous Wednesday.

Hank and Brad took the audience through the dark underbelly of country music with a wicked sense of humour and great tunes played on the guitar and ukulele. Brad showed the audience how to lasso rabbits and yodelled whilst Hank regaled the audience with stories from wide and far.
